Ely is a member of Ursa Major, the newest quintet led by eight-time Grammy Award–winning bassist Christian McBride. He has collaborated with a wide range of acclaimed artists, including Shai Maestro, Braxton Cook, Noah Preminger, Amir Bresler, and many more.
Originally from Tel Aviv, Ely began his musical journey at a young age and developed a strong foundation in jazz and contemporary music. He is a graduate of the Israel Conservatory of Music, before moving to the United States to attend Berklee College of Music.
