Bandleader, bassist, and composer Owens draws from a vibrant community of New York jazz musicians who bring soul jazz warmth and irresistible hard bop grooves to every show. Born from Owens' nonprofit work nurturing community through music and shared meals, The Cookout is a band that offers everyone a seat at the table and a feast for the soul.
