Saxophonist Isaiah Collier, a vital creative force in Chicago’s jazz scene, makes his Boston debut with a program inspired by one of his musical heroes, John Coltrane. Still in his mid-20s, Collier is a leading voice in “spiritual jazz:” music that transcends time and reaches for a spiritual level beyond the day-to-day. In this performance, Collier honors Coltrane’s prolific legacy with electrifying interpretations of his own iconic works.

“The Chosen Few has already arrived as an extender of a beloved jazz motif and should be welcomed into it ”
