How you can support Vivo Performing Arts by joining Membership.

Ticket sales and subscriptions are an important part of Vivo Performing Arts’ financial picture, but they only cover a portion of what it truly costs to bring exceptional live performances to our community. 

Your philanthropic support makes it possible to fully deliver on our mission: to enrich and inspire our community through exceptional live performances. Donations help cover artist fees, venue costs, and production expenses, while also fueling the work that ticket revenue alone cannot sustain, like free and discounted tickets, community engagement programming, and long-term investments in equity, accessibility, and artistic innovation. 

Yes. Vivo Performing Arts (formerly Celebrity Series of Boston) is a registered 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization (Tax ID: 22-2958508), and donations are tax deductible to the extent allowed by law. You will receive a written acknowledgment for your donation that you can keep for your records.

We will still receive all donations addressed to our past name. Vivo Performing Arts is currently operating as Celebrity Series of Boston, doing business as (DBA) Vivo Performing Arts during our brand transition. Donations addressed to Celebrity Series of Boston will be received, processed, and acknowledged as gifts to Vivo Performing Arts, with full credit and tax acknowledgement provided as usual. 

Our nonprofit status will not change, and our tax ID number 22-2958508 will remain the same throughout the transition and into the future.

Yes, you can opt to remain anonymous by selecting the “I wish to remain anonymous” option on our online giving forms or by writing “Anonymous” in the notes area on a check. MEMBERSHIP QUESTIONS

How to become a new Member or renew your existing Membership.

At Vivo Performing Arts, a subscription is a ticket package for multiple performances, while a Membership is a tax-deductible philanthropic donation that supports our mission and offers special access and engagement benefits. 

A subscription is a ticketing option that allows you to purchase a bundle of three or more performances in advance. Subscriptions include ticket-focused benefits such as flexible exchanges, on-account credit, and other conveniences that make planning your season easier. 

A Membership is a philanthropic contribution that supports Vivo Performing Arts’ mission. Membership gifts are tax deductible to the extent allowed by law and come with benefits that enhance your experience, including early access to purchase tickets, invitations to Members-only events, and opportunities to engage more deeply with our work and community. 

Your Membership is valid for 12 months from the date you make your gift. For example, if you join as a Member on July 3, 2026, your Membership will extend through July 2, 2027. 

Memberships are eligible for renewal starting 2 months prior to your expiration date. If you renew during this 2-month window, you do not lose any time on your Membership; your original expiration date is simply advanced one year. Once you are in your renewal period, you will receive reminders from us to renew and keep your benefits active. 

Due to processing time, there is sometimes a delay from when you send your gift to us to when membership renewal notices are sent from our office. If you made a gift in the last 2 weeks, it's likely your gift and our notice just crossed in the mail. Check your Vivo Performing Arts online account for your most up-to-date Membership status.

Your Membership expiration date updates when you renew within the two months before it expires. If you made a gift during that time, your Membership extends for another year. If your gift was made earlier, it counts toward your current Membership year and may increase your Membership level, but your expiration date will stay the same. 

Memberships are based on philanthropic gifts in support of Vivo Performing Arts’ annual fund. The following contributions are not applied toward Membership: ticket donations, donations of on-account credit, in-kind donations of goods or services, gifts designated for special projects, SHINE! Gala ticket or table purchases, and Paddle Bid or non-attending Gala donations. 

MEMBERSHIP BENEFIT QUESTIONS

How to take advantage of your Member benefits.

Subscriptions for the 2026/27 season go on sale to the general public starting May 19. As a thank you for your support, Members receive early access to purchase subscriptions before the public.  

At 12pm on your Membership level’s presale date, you will receive an email with a link to our subscription order form, and you will be prompted to log in to your Vivo Performing Arts account. After logging in—if you have an eligible Membership—you will be able to select performances to add to your cart. 

To find your Membership level, log into your Vivo Performing Arts account and navigate to the “My Memberships” section of your account. Your current membership details will be listed, including Membership level, expiration date, and a list of your benefits. 

If you believe you have a current Membership and are unable to access the subscription presale, please contact our Box Office at boxoffice@vivoperformingarts.org or (617) 482-6661, and a member of our team will be able to assist.  

Invitations to Membership events are sent individually throughout the year, based on when the event is occurring. Event invitations are sent via email, so please make sure your correct email is in your account, and that you have opted in to receive emails from Vivo Performing Arts.  

Some events may reach capacity prior to the RSVP date, so be sure to RSVP promptly once you receive the invitation.
